Well IE sucks, we all know that, and my Safari is playing up so I downloaded Google Chrome, so far it seems good but what pros, cons and tips do I need to know/remember?

The only thing wrong with google chrome is that it has little to no protection against viruses, trojans etc. You need excellent virus protection software to go with it, so really it's just like that picture. Really fast, but can get you into a whole lot of s*** if not prepared.

I use Chrome mainly, but I use Firefox whenever I need extra functionality - like visiting sites that require certain plug-ins and stuff. Firefox is fast...ish. Chrome is faster. IE is just fail.

Sorry for the bumpy-bump, but this particular section is inactive as 3tiuoj234iou...

Google Chrome... ah, such a great web browser. Despite it's minimalistic interface, ease of use, and surprising speed, it's got one downfall - try opening task manager once in a while when Chrome is open. Add up all of the memory usage of the chrome processes.

Google Chrome is VERY self explanatory. You'll need some adapting here and there, but it's VERY simple.

One of my personal favorite features of Chrome is just searching Google by typing what you need in the address bar. It makes me more motivated to use Google for my answers.

I've noticed that firefox does that as well, occasionally.

Or it assumes which website you're looking for and takes you there.

I used to use Safari, but it got all messed up. Not really sure how. I prefer firefox. Never used Chrome before.

YES.

100%.

But, this is about Google Chrome, so we should discuss Firefox in another thread.

My views:
IE: KILL IT WITH FIRE

Opera: Great for handling lots of tabs at once, doesn't use too much RAM.

Firefox: Good all round but fairly RAM hungry.

Chrome: Fast, very very fast, but highly insecure prone to letting viruses through. Very good virus protection software needed.

Safari: Lags on startup, but apart from that, not too bad.

Basically, different browsers for different needs.
So google chrome would be for those who don't have that good of an internet connection, and want to load single pages fast.
