Is it possible to specify what size your avatar should be displayed by amount of pixels? It's annoying when the forum forces an offsite-avatar to be a certain size regardless of its dimensions..

It is. We set the boundaries on the Avatars to 65x65 to accommodate everyone so nobody makes a 500x500 avvy that takes forever to load.

I can see that, but it doesn't resize correctly when it's an offsite link (and it won't be animated unless it's an offsite link, too)

Maybe.. but if you look at Jake's avatar, it's resized larger than what it actually is

That makes it look better than it would.

Your argument is invalid.

I personally think 100x100 or 150x150 would be nicer for avatar size. Many of my avatars lose their detail in that small 65x65 size, and making them slightly larger would not cause a massive increase in lag.

if we can add anti-aliasing increases (as an option) then i'm for the 150x150

if we can't, then 100x100.

I don't know if this is possible but make it so that if the avatar is smaller than standard, don't resize it and center it. It would look better on avatars like the Pokemon ones, so that they aren't all blurry.

I won't change anything unless I have a reasonable movement going.
