-By Command of the mighty Spode, you shall obey these commands or see yourself banished from SporeBase forums!
-Three warnings will constitute a week long ban.
-A fourth warning will constitute a month long ban.
-A fifth warning will constitute a permanent login ban. You may make a new account after this, but all warnings from your original account will still carry over. You will not receive verbal warnings if you cause any more trouble; you will be immediately warned again and put on trial.
-A sixth warning (and a ban verdict) will constitute a permanent IP ban. This is the end of the line. You will not receive any more second chances after this ban.
NOTE: Receiving a sixth warning will only happen if the majority of the community votes in favor of it. This occurs in a board invisible to members on trial. DO NOT reveal how any individual member voted (in favor or against the final ban) to the person on trial. We do not want that person holding a grudge on anyone who voted in favor of their ban.
1. No spamming.
Do not post multiple times in a row, unless it is needed. Try to avoid pointless posts outside of Quick Threads. Being, and remaining, completely off-topic, with the exception of the Freedom Thread and Illogical Reasoning topics, is not allowed. However, getting a little off-topic is fine if you return to the original topic somewhere in your post.
-Try to avoid posting in topics that have not been posted in for over a month. However, if they are still on the first page and you have something of value to contribute, it is preferable to revive the old thread than to make a new one and have two identical topics. It keeps the forums tidier.
2. Do Not flame.
This is a community site, so be nice to each other!
This includes starting threads to insult someone.Flaming other users will guarantee a warning. Don't do it.
3. No Pornography.
This will get you a permanent ban with no warnings!
4. No sharing of illegal files or file sharing sites. This is also prohibited on the Shoutbox!
5. No multiple accounts, unless you have a legitimate reason and are given permission by the staff. Ask first!
6. Make your topics descriptive.
Topics like Hack will be removed.
7. No posting of new topics/questions in someone else’s thread.
Make your own topic for this.
8. Follow topic rules! Respect the rules that the founder of a topic puts in place!
9. DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN PLANTS OR USE PLAYER CREATED PLANTS! THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!
GO TO HERE TO LEARN WHY: http://www.sporebase.com/forum/index.php?topic=533.0If you have added plants, go here to learn how to remove them: http://www.sporebase.com/forum/index.php?topic=541.0
10. Try not to use foul language. This is a game that is for all ages!
Your posts will be edited, but if it is a reoccurring problem, it will result in a
warning. Filter evading to deliberately cuss at another member is a warnable offense. Do not do it!
11. Do not advertise your own site or a site made by another, unless you are posting it in a moderator approved topic for that site.
12. NO TROLLING.
Trolling is the act of deliberately trying to provoke users into flaming. It's highly detrimental to our status as a community, and we, the staff, will not hesitate to act if any member is caught doing so.
13. Avoid using avatars/display pictures that contain:
-Sexual themes and/or nudity
-Racist, sexist or otherwise inappropriate material
-Rapidly flashing colours, or any other fast content that may induce sickness or a seizure
-Material that insults another member of the Sporebase community
If you do happen to have an avatar like so and you fail to change it, a private message will be sent to you, asking you to change it. Continuing to have an avatar that falls under one of those criteria after multiple warnings may result with the inability to use an avatar.
If you wish to use a certain avatar, but you do not know if it falls under one of the criteria listed above, then PM an admin or global moderator with the link, and we will decide if it can be used or not.
If you do not like these rules, then do not sign up or post. This is a friendly community and post counts do not count for anything. Having the most posts does not mean you are going to be a moderator or anything of the sort, in fact if you have been spamming to get the count it will hurt your standing in the community. On the subject of additional rules:
The staff may agree upon and add new rules at any time, if new rules are needed. More likely than not, these rules will be discussed on the forum, but it would be a good idea to keep this page bookmarked so you can check the rules to make sure you're obeying them.
