Some of you might know that I released an unreleased and unfinished game known as Knibots, which had poor quality control similar to Zombie Infestation and Flyman, however it had very decent gameplay, despite the dumb AI.

I have recently decided to improve on Knibots' gameplay by improving the AI, enhancing the effects, making the game much more fast paced, and making the combat more satisfying. Along with all of that, the game itself will be ported from Drag & Drop elements to full-on GML code, and the entire thing will be built inside of Game Maker Studio.

- The spawner now spawns enemies much faster.
HUD changes:
- Added a "Survival Timer" and a counter for the player's knife count.
- The HUD is now smaller.
- The version is now displayed on the screen.
Asthetic changes:
- Knifes now stick onto walls.
- Made the background look better.
- Gave the jump boost blocks animations.
- Changed the asthetic of the buttons.
- The buttons now have animations.
- Bodies now stay longer.
- Changed the asthetic of the HUD a bit.
- Changed the asthetic of character sprites. (they now actually look more like knights).
- Changed the asthetic the health pickup.
- Added a animation to the health pickup.
- Increased screen resolution.
- Added more spark sprites.
- Bodies will stop emitting smoke a few ticks before removal.
- The player's health bar is no longer the same color as the player.
Under-the-hood changes:
- All sounds use GameMaker Studio's new audio engine!
- EVERY object in-game now use 100% GML scripting!
- The HUD is now considered a "GUI" element!
1.2.1.0:
- Made dead bodies look better.
- Characters will now spawn with either the old or new helmets.
- Assassins' knives now look like they are thrown from the hand, rather than from the body.
- You can now switch between weapons regardless of which direction you roll the mousewheel at.
- The HUD will now display your current item.
- The survival timer will now stop when the player is killed.
- Added a sound for selecting items.
- The player and assassin can now ONLY hold 8 knives at a time.
- Pressing the appropriate number keys (1 = Sword, 2 = Knife) will now switch weapons.
1.2.2.0:
- The player will no longer increase its Y position when lunging and jumping, or when lunging and flying on a boost block.
- You can now use the Knife as a melee weapon by pressing right click.
- The player now starts with 1 Knife.
- Remade the Sword sprite.
- Added a Melee version of the Assassin.
1.3.0.0
- Added a main menu and a pause function.
- Simplified the UI in-game.
- You can now activate the button just by throwing a knife at it.
- Increased the player's speed.

Well, took nearly a month for someone to reply, but, two things right off the bat.

First round i spawned as a red dude and the healthbar didn't work, because i was red and so was the background and foreground of the healthbar, secondly, i'm not really feeling the knife play, i'm thinking archery would work a lot better.

Well, took nearly a month for someone to reply, but, two things right off the bat.

First round i spawned as a red dude and the healthbar didn't work, because i was red and so was the background and foreground of the healthbar, secondly, i'm not really feeling the knife play, i'm thinking archery would work a lot better.

Fixed the healthbar issue. I might consider adding archers in the future and a bow item for the player to use.

New UPDATE (warning its huge)!

1.2.0.0:

I suggest a more unified artstyle. The tiles and the sprites look like they're from completely different games.
